John Cleese as Tim the Enchanter
John Cleese was my favorite of the Monty Python troupe. Dead parrots, silly walks, and French Taunters aside, Cleese’s Tim the Enchanter gave me a fantastic subject to tackle. Just look at the horns attached to his headgear! The makeup men applied magnificent eyebrow hair and whiskers to round out the eccentric magician’s appearance. Somewhere underneath all that makeup you can still see the eyes of John Cleese. I drew this mainly as an homage to one of my all time favorite movies, Monty Python and the Holy Grail. Who knows? Maybe, I’ll do portraits of the rest of the cast, as well.
