Jerry Lewis as The Nutty Professor
This portrait came to be after watching Lewis’ original take on The Nutty Professor. Jerry Lewis’ comedy is typically a “love it or hate it” scenario. Of those two camps, I’m in the “love it” section. Granted, I have to take it in spurts—I can’t do a Jerry Lewis movie marathon, but the one off feature is fantastic. Watching him alternate between Buddy Love, the super suave cool guy, and the professor, bumbling but well meaning, is pure genius. I’ve chosen an extreme closeup of the awkward professor look to draw.
